Short Information: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released two official recruitment notifications for the post of Police Constable in the Himachal Pradesh Police Department — 491 posts for Male candidates (Advt. No. 57/7-2026) and 243 posts for Female candidates (Advt. No. 58/7-2026). Eligible candidates can apply online from 10 July 2026 to 06 August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed Matriculation and +2 from an Institution/School/Board situated within HP.
- (This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.)
- PwD candidates are not eligible for this examination.
Selection Process & Marks Distribution (Total: 100 Marks)
- Stage 1 – Physical Test (PST & PET): Conducted by HP Police. Candidates must meet physical standards (Height/Chest) and qualify all PET events.
- Stage 2 – Written Test (MCQ): 90 Marks | 2 Hours duration | Negative marking applicable.
- Stage 3 – Evaluation & Document Verification: Includes NCC certificate marks (max 4 marks) and PST Height marks (max 6 marks).
- Stage 4 – Medical Examination: Final stage conducted by HP Police Department.
- PET Events: Male – 1500m Race (5:30 min), 100m (14 sec), High Jump (1.35m), Broad Jump (4m). Female – 800m Race (3:45 min), 100m (17 sec), High Jump (1.10m), Broad Jump (3m).
- NCC Marks: “C” Certificate – 4 marks | “B” Certificate

How to Apply for HPPSC HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official HPPSC website – hppsc.hp.gov.in
- Click on “Apply Online” and then “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations”.
- Register via New Registration if not already registered. Log in to your OTR account.
- Find the live advertisement and select the applicable post (Constable Male – 57/7-2026 or Female – 58/7-2026).
- Fill personal and educational details. Select one district for Physical Test and Written Test (no change allowed after submission).
- Upload all required documents (Matriculation, +2, Category Certificate, NCC Certificate, etc.) as specified.
- Pay the exam fee of Rs. 600/- online and submit the application before 06 August 2026 (11:59 PM).
- Note: No changes are allowed
